Extractions

A minor surgical procedure in which a tooth or the remains of roots are removed under local anaesthesia

The most common reasons for an extraction are the presence of caries or periodontal disease, although it may also be necessary in the case of impacted teeth, supernumerary teeth, anomalies in position or situation, deciduous teeth or teeth associated with cysts or tumours.
